July 23-24
At the July 23 & 24 Mission u, Northern IL UMW members will participate in a virtual event to examine important issues impacting our communities today. The 2-day event will start on Friday, July 23rd, 7 to 9 p.m., and complete on Saturday, July 24th, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The deadline to register is noon on July 21st. Registration is $10 per adult attendee and $5 per youth/child (Scholarships available through your district).

Mission u participants will have a choice between the following studies:
PUSHOUT: The Criminalization of Black Girls in Schools (led by Audrey Sherman & Deaconess Christina Meyer)
BEARING WITNESS IN THE KIN-DOM: Living into the Church's Moral Witness Through Radical Discipleship (English, led by Judith Siaba)
KOREAN STUDY: Bearing Witness in the Kin-dom (Led by Rev. Young-Mee Park)
SPANISH STUDY: Bearing Witness in the Kin-dom (led by Rosa Villarreal)
CHILDREN'S STUDY: Responding to Violence: for ages 5 thru 11 (Led by Rev. Harriette Cross)
YOUTH STUDY: Becoming Peacemakers in a Culture of Violence: for ages 12 thru 17 (Led by Diana Davis)
